Cooking Classes at Catch

Enjoy a tantalizing sensation on your palate while learning the culinary techniques of a true professional, Oyster Bar Chef Colin Metcalfe.

Colin will have all of the prep work done for you. Your responsibility will be to cook one or two elements of each dish and when it’s ready, enjoy the food you’ve created along with a perfectly paired wine. Ian Blaney, Catch Oyster Bar’s wine expert, will walk you through the reasoning behind the pairing choice.

 

1st Course

BC Spot Prawn Chowder
corn / celery leaves / tarragon

2nd Course

Wild Caught Halibut Cheeks
blood orange / fennel / celery root

3rd Course

Spring Creek Ranch Flat Iron Steak
crispy forest mushrooms / watercress puree / truffle oil

4th Course

Trio of Truffles with Spice
dark chocolate / milk chocolate / white chocolate

 

After your three courses, enjoy a dessert prepared just for you by Chef. Not only that, you’ll leave with a small gift at the end of class.
